You used to enjoy creating content.
Now? Even opening Insta feels like a chore.
You stare at your screen, write a sentence, delete it, check your emails, scroll, get distracted, try again… and still nothing feels worth posting.
If you’ve lost your mojo for social media (or content in general), I see you.
I’ve had four clients in the past week say the same thing. And trust me when I say, I feel your pain.
The good news is, your mojo isn’t gone.
It just needs a little coaxing.
Here’s what’s been helping me and my clients move from stuck to starting again, without the guilt, the pressure, or the need to “go viral.”
We let ourselves have a little fun.
Your content doesn’t have to read like a white paper or LinkedIn training module.
Write the post you want to write. The one with the weird analogy, the kitchen bench story, the Bluey reference. (You’ll win me over with anything Chilli-related.)
We answer one client question.
What did someone ask you this week?
What came up in a discovery call, a DM, or an offhand comment in a voice note?
That’s a post right there.
We keep it simple.
You don’t need a five-part series with a lead magnet and a matching carousel.
Sometimes the best content is just one story, one sentence, one clever thought.
We stop aiming for genius.
Every post doesn’t need to change someone’s life.
It just needs to land. Clearly. And sound like you.
We give ourselves a break.
If you usually post three times a week but you’re not in flow, post once.
Or don’t.
The world won’t stop spinning. Your audience probably won’t even notice.
(And you definitely don’t need to announce a “posting break.” Just breathe.)
We move.
You know in Bluey when everyone’s in a funk and Chilli makes them all dance it out?
There’s a reason that works. Movement clears cobwebs. Go walk, stretch, shimmy, clean your kitchen while blasting Celine. Get out of your chair and back into your body.
We stop scrolling competitors.
Comparison is a creativity killer.
What someone else is posting has nothing to do with what you need to say.
Stay in your lane. You’ve got something to say. Say it your way.
We repurpose.
Guess what?! You already wrote great stuff!
Dig through your archives, find a post that landed well, and ask ChatGPT to give it a new angle, a new tone, or a new hook.
Boom. Done.
We treat it like a conversation, not content.
What would you say if your dream client was sitting across from you, almond cappuccino in hand?
That’s the vibe. Write like that.
We remember who we are.
Preferably in Mufasa’s voice to Simba.
You’ve said useful things before. You’ll say them again.
The well is not dry, it’s just a bit dusty.
Step away, shake it off, and come back when you’re ready.
Your mojo’s not lost.
It’s just napping.
Ping me if you need a wake-up call.
